3D Camp Houston was a success! I’ve been finally delving into sterling silver printing with Shapeways, and it’s really remarkable what they can do, of the level you would expect from ‘actual’ metal casters and jewelers. You can choose both polished or the basic unpolished. I’ve always opted for polished for just a few bucks more per print. However, I’ve seen.
Just finished the digital model for a new ‘abstract’ heart pendant. It’s still anatomically accurate, but a bit more idealized and abstract than my other heart pendant. The aorta also of course doesn’t bend and feedback into the left atrium – that would be pretty counterproductive! First up is a test print in gold-plated stainless.

Laser wood-cutting is a process I became really curious about, and I decided to have some pieces made that way. The result? These fine little pendants, produced in the now all-popular and sustainable bamboo. I’m really impressed at the detail and accuracy of the finished product and definitely plan to expand into this material/method more.
